A great useful online file sending tool is totally FREE to use, and it’s called You Send It — www.yousendit.com.

There are probably paid services that have better (even YouSendIt has high-powered paid plans) — but we use this service all the time and love it!

We use this service to send files up to 100Mb in size, when FTP is not available and the file is too big for email. Also, better than email, the file can be downloaded up to 100 times, so if you need to send it to a handful of people, it’s easy to do so without worrying about if their mailbox is full etc.

When sending the file all you need to do is include the email address/es of the recipient/s, a short message and choose the file — and you get to see a progress bar on the screen as the file uploads, so you know for sure how it is progressing.

YouSendIt does have paid plans, which allow files up to 2Gb — and the free service used to be much larger than the 100Mb limit, but for individual files, 100Mb has been fine for our graphic needs — a great way to receive high resolution images and graphics files.

Simple, easy and free — and saves plenty of headaches!
